YIVO is excited to announce this fall's YIVO Yiddish Club sessions.

The YIVO Institute for Jewish Research is delighted to host a performance of the Semer Ensemble, featuring songs in Yiddish, German, Russian, and Hebrew accompanied by English subtitles.

YIVO welcomed the Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda to YIVO for the unveiling of two plaques in YIVO’s Strashun Rare Book Room to honor those who helped rescue the remnants of East European Jewish culture from the Nazis during WW II and the Soviets in the War’s aftermath.

On Friday, July 28, 2023, 82 students graduated from The Uriel Weinreich Summer Program in Yiddish Language, Literature, and Culture, the world’s longest-running Yiddish summer program.
