Joyva Documentary Film
For many of us, as Passover approaches, it's time to pick up a box of Joyva's jelly rings or marshmallow twists. But did you know that there's also a documentary film being made about the 115-year-old company?
YIVO is an official partner on the film, because we believe in the film's mission to preserve Jewish culture and tell this story about an iconic Jewish food brand.
This Passover season, the filmmakers want to hear from you—Joyva's longtime fans! Do you love Joyva? Have jelly rings and marshmallow twists been a part of your life for a long time? Is the Passover ritual in your family never complete without Joyva on the table?
The filmmakers are looking for Joyva fans to film homemade video clips (with their cell phones!) from their Passover Seders this year, whether they are in-person or virtual. No filmmaking chops necessary. In return for your participation, Joyva will mail you a goodie bag of assorted products for Passover this year.
Your footage might make it into the final film!
Let us know that you'd like to participate:
The filmmakers will follow up with you with further instructions on how to participate.
In this ongoing time of social distancing, we know Passover might be different this year, once again. That's why collecting these videos, about our shared experience as Jews, will help to bring a sense of community and connectedness during this difficult time.
